Dear friends & family,
Next Saturday April 26, I'll be hopping back on my bike with Ride 4a Reason to pedal 110 miles from Oakland to Sacramento to raise funds for public schools in Oakland and Alameda. With kids in Oakland public school for many years, I'm well aware of the continued challenges we face, from funding art and music to paying for a PE instructor and teacher assistants. Educational disparities have only gotten worse since COVID, and this year has been particularly challenging with the K-12 federal funding freeze. But we can help!
Over the last 15 years, Ride 4a Reason has raised close to $1.8 million for public schools in Oakland and Alameda, providing resources and experiences that would not have been possible for more than 6,300 students per year. Last year, I raised $2,000 and I'd like to do it again this year with your help! Would you please consider a donation today to help me get there? 100% of the funds I raise will go directly to these public schools in Oakland and Alameda.
