Welcome to my fundraising page!
I am participating in the 2026 Defeat Multiple Myeloma Run/Walk on Sunday, June 28 and would love for you to join me, in person (Seattle) AND by helping me raise $500.
100% of all funds raised will go directly to advancing multiple myeloma cancer research at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center where I've been treated since October of 2017. Each donation plays a part in bringing myeloma treatment options to patients faster and helping fund research to find a cure for this cancer. It's mindboggling how much progress has been made in the past 8 years! I may actually live long enough to see a CURE! Together, we are building community, supporting survivors, remembering loved ones lost, and funding research that is giving new hope to patients like me and to others you probably know have Multiple Myeloma. We are committed, we are strong, and our impact has been and can be enormous.
I will be honored if you will join me in the fight for a Cure and for continued research that supports exceptional quality of life treatments until there is a Cure. Thank you and may God keep you healthy and safe
What is Multiple Myeloma?
Multiple Myeloma is a cancer of plasma cells found in bone marrow. Normal plasma cells help the immune system fight disease, but when plasma cells become cancerous they grow out of control and can produce a tumor called a plasmacytoma. If someone has more than one plasmacytoma, they have multiple myeloma.
Why support this event?
Defeat Multiple Myeloma’s mission is to raise awareness of multiple myeloma while supporting research that seeks to discover new treatments, improve the quality of life for myeloma patients, and ultimately find a cure for this devastating form of cancer. Funds from the 2026 Defeat Multiple Myeloma event will continue to support immunotherapy research and clinical trials at Fred Hutch which are using CAR-T cells and have shown very promising early results for patients.
