Born from the tragedy of 9/11, the Tunnel to Towers Foundation carries forward a legacy of courage and heroism. Built upon the mantra, “While we have time, LET US DO GOOD,” the Foundation supports our nation’s fallen and catastrophically injured first responders, military heroes and their families.
Please support the Tunnel to Towers Foundation and America’s heroes by donating through my page. On September 6th, I’ll be running a 5K in Orlando to finalize my fundraising efforts. More than 93% of all fundraising dollars goes directly to the Foundation’s programs. That means that 93 cents out of every dollar you donate goes directly to its programs and services.
Programs Such As:
- Gold Star Family Home Program: Provides mortgage-free homes to families of military members killed in action in a combat zone or during authorized training, with priority for those with young children.
- Fallen First Responder Home Program: Delivers mortgage-free homes or pays off mortgages for families of first responders who die in the line of duty or from 9/11-related illnesses, leaving behind young children.
- Smart Home Program: Builds specially adapted, mortgage-free smart homes for catastrophically injured veterans and first responders (e.g., those with multiple amputations, quadriplegia, paraplegia, blindness, severe burns, or traumatic brain injury) to enhance mobility and independence. Eligibility is for injuries sustained on or after October 7, 2001.
- Homeless Veteran Program: Offers housing assistance and supportive services (e.g., case management, employment support, mental health counseling) to veterans and their families experiencing or at risk of homelessness, aiming to eradicate veteran homelessness nationwide.
- 9/11 Institute: Provides educational resources for K-12 schools about the history of September 11, 2001, including a curriculum and a mobile exhibit to honor those lost and ensure the events are never forgotten.
- In the Line of Duty Program: Encompasses providing mortgage-free homes to catastrophically injured veterans, first responders, Gold Star families, and families of fallen first responders with young children, focusing on financial stability and independence.
- Never Forget Programs: Includes memorial events like the Tunnel to Towers 5K Run & Walk NYC, National Runs and Climbs, and the Tower Climb NYC to honor Stephen Siller and all 9/11 victims, as well as first responders and military members who continue to sacrifice.
