Chief Chad Satcher- Circle Fire Department
On Friday, September 27, 2024, Chief Chad Satcher, tragically lost his life while responding to a structure fire during the peak of Hurricane Helene. A tree fell on the fire truck, resulting in the deaths of both Chad and firefighter Landon Bodie.
Whether you were a neighbor or a stranger, he was always ready to help. His spirit was gentle and steady. Chad was quiet, patient, and a friend to everyone. He embodied the essence of a servant’s heart and was recognized for his dedication to his work and community.
As a 35-year veteran of the fire service, Chief Satcher’s unwavering dedication to serving others as a firefighter and community leader, and his deep love for his family, will never be forgotten. He is loved and missed beyond measure.
