We are participating in the 2026 run/walk for Pittsburgh Cure Sarcoma, a volunteer led organization that represents a cause very important to us. We have participated as a group for the last 15 years.
This year is especially special for our family. In 2011, fewer than twelve months after Lindsey's passing from osteosarcoma, five family members—including our osteosarcoma survivor dog, Stich—participated in the inaugural Sarcoma Walk/Run to honor Lindsey's memory.
Now 15 years later, Lindsey’s twin sister Kelsey is getting married. On June 20th! Her and her fiancé, Shane, picked that day so their closest friends and family could both join them in their support of a great cause as well as being part of their wedding celebration.
The engaged couple may have opted for an intimate wedding ceremony and reception, but there is not a limit to the number of people that can join in the pre-wedding celebration as a member of Team Lindsey’s Legacy. We would love to have a record number of participants this year as we try to raise a record breaking dollar amount to support research both locally and nationally. If you want to experience fresh air, good music and positive vibes sign up to be a walker or a runner or a sideline cheerleader. If you can’t be there in person, maybe you can participate virtually or with a monetary contribution. If you do decide to join the cause, make sure you sign-up or donate thru our team, Lindsey’s Legacy. Whatever you decide, your consideration is greatly appreciated.
