The Minnesota Vikings are a professional American football team based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, competing in the National Football Conference (NFC) North division of the National Football League (NFL). Founded in 1960, they began playing in 1961. The Vikings play their home games at U.S. Bank Stadium and their team headquarters are in Eagan, Minnesota.
