I adopted Vinny from HSP in 2020 during the height of the pandemic. He was brought in with an infected eye, that unfortunately, they could not save. He is the sweetest one-eyed American Shorthair you ever met and saved me during the pandemic and has been a great companion since. In 2023 I adopted Yzma, a beautiful, rambunctious Tuxedo with a cute, crooked tail. She has become like a sister to Vinny and keeps him active! I am glad to give them a home and thankful to HSP for rescuing them and allowing me to adopt.
The Humane Society of Pinellas (HSP) is a no-kill animal shelter located in Pinellas County. They are dedicated to providing individualized care for every animal that enters the shelter. They ensure that every treatable animal receives their necessary medical treatment. They promise that no animal will be euthanized for a treatable condition while in their care. Not only is HSP a 99% Live Release Rate shelter but they offer community programs such as the Pet Food Pantry and Senior Pet Connection that ensure pets stay in their homes and do not need to be surrendered to a shelter.
