Maggie adopted us in Aug 2023! She was walking alone in our neighborhood and came up our street directly towards my husband and I. We found the owner the next day(who had adopted Maggie from the HSP, in Dec 2021) but she was not able to care for Maggie anymore. Maggie became a furever member of our family!
The Humane Society of Pinellas (HSP) is a no-kill animal shelter located in Pinellas County. They are dedicated to providing individualized care for every animal that enters the shelter. They ensure that every treatable animal receives their necessary medical treatment. They promise that no animal will be euthanized for a treatable condition while in their care. Not only is HSP a 99% Live Release Rate shelter but they offer community programs such as the Pet Food Pantry and Senior Pet Connection that ensure pets stay in their homes and do not need to be surrendered to a shelter.
