Since 1951, The Arc of the South Shore has empowered more than 100,000 individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including autism, to live their best lives. Our mission is to support people of all ages and abilities in achieving their fullest potential, and with the help of our incredible community and partners, we ensure that individuals live healthy, safe, independent, and empowered lives.

We’re proud to once again partner with the Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation for Autism as a Charity Team in the Flutie 5K. Last year, we raised nearly $5,000 to benefit our Autism Resource Center, and we’re excited to aim even higher this year! Our team is especially excited to come together to raise awareness, build community, and support local families on the autism journey.

The Autism Resource Center offers vital information, referrals, and community-based programming for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and their families, many of whom are navigating major life transitions, such as receiving a new diagnosis, entering or leaving special education, or transitioning into adulthood. We provide workshops, support groups, therapeutic activities, and more, serving nearly 4,000 individuals and families annually. And because the Center is fully funded through grants and donations, your support truly makes an impact.

Every dollar raised helps improve the physical, emotional, and social well-being of those we serve and provides critical support to caregivers and families. Your generosity ensures that no family walks this journey alone.
