Murphysboro Mud Monster

The Murphysboro Mud Monster is an Obstacle & Mud Challenge taking place at scenic Riverside Park in Murphysboro, Illinois.

Gates open and on-site registration begins at 7:30 a.m. with running heats starting at 9 a.m. until the final group at 10 a.m.

Experience over 18 obstacles along the approximate 5 kilometer route. Obstacles can include mud trenches, foam pits, ice baths, ropes, low crawls, slip & slides, teamwork challenges and of course, MUD!

Food and drink will be available for participants.

The price this year is $65 which includes a custom finishers medal designed by Murphysboro’s own Sculptor and Metalsmith John Medwedeff, and a high quality “soft t-shirt”.  Register by August 30th to be guaranteed a shirt. Swag also includes gimme’s from local sponsors and contributors. Participants must be 13 years or older with a parent or guardian's permission and signed waiver. Runners 21 and over will receive one (1) beer ticket to celebrate their accomplishment.
