Description

Description
The EPD SWAT Challenge is a fun, challenging 5K run with obstacles like walls, tires and climbing up a parking structure with a sandbag.
This event takes place on Saturday May 2, 2020, in Downtown Evansville.

Packet Pick is at the Pagoda from 12-5pm.

There are 17 waves starting at 8am to the last wave at 12 noon, to spread out the participants over the 15 or more obstacles.
2018 was a big success with over 500 participants registered, ranging from 6 years old to seniors!

About the EPD SWAT Team
Founded in 1975, the EPD SWAT team trains and prepares for missions involving barricaded
gunmen, hostage rescue, high risk warrant service, active shooter response and more.

The team is on-call 24 hours a day and responds immediately to calls for service.

SWAT officers are selected from within the Evansville Police Department.
Officers must serve a minimum of three years before they can apply for the team.

 We have team competitions.
This will include a traveling trophy for each category!

Two winners from 2018 are the Evansville Fire Department and Orangetheory Fitness.

Get your team together and compete at one of these times:

8am - 1st responders/public safety
9am - businesses
10am - other
11am - high schools
