Description

Please join us for the 9th Annual Run and Play for Ariana Mae, September 7th at Fitzgerald Park in Grand Ledge, MI. The entire family will enjoy a 5K run/walk, kids 1 mile run and obstacle course, games, food and more!

Proceeds support the Ariana Mae Foundation - a proud supporter of the SUDC Foundation and Dravet Syndrome Foundation. By donating you could receive a FREE entry to the 5k race. Details below.

5K Course Information: Run and Play for Ariana Mae is a 5K run/walk on a 3.1 mile course starting and finishing at Fitzgerald Park in Grand Ledge, MI. Start time is 9:00 a.m., rain or shine. In the event of severe weather the race start will be delayed and conditions re-evaluated. The event will be held as soon as weather permits.

Kids 1 Mile Obstacle Course Information: The kids kids 1 mile course is contained in Fitzgerald Park and will consist of 5 different obstacles. Each child will receive a bib, t-shirt and participation medal. Start time is 11:11 a.m., rain or shine. In the event of severe weather the race start will be delayed and conditions re-evaluated. The event will be held as soon as weather permits.

Entry fees are non-refundable. Please keep in mind that there is a $3 fee to enter Fitzgerald Park. 

Awards: Medals will be awarded to the top three finishers in each race division, Male and Female.
Grand Prizes Will be awarded to: Overall Male and Female

5K Race Divisions: Male and Female 9 and under, 10-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 and over

Results: Race results will be posted on the pavilion at Fitzgerald Park immediately following the race. We will also provide a link once times are posted by Michigan Running Foundation.

T-Shirts: Registration fee includes one event shirt per participant. Sizes guaranteed only for those who register before August 25th, t-shirts available after that date as supplies last.

​Early Packet Pick-up: Friday, September 6th, from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Fitzgerald Park in Grand Ledge

Race Day Packet Pick-up and Registration: Saturday, September 7th, at the race 7:00 - 8:50 a.m.

Activities and Entertainment
Kids Activities: Games and bounce houses will be available for children from 9:00 a.m - 12:00 p.m.
Kids Dash: A free 100-yard kids dash will take place at approximately 10:20 am. Every participant will receive an award! Youth tee shirts will be available for sale.

Food: Hot dogs and refreshments will be available for purchase from 10 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. 
Music: TBD

The race will be chip timed by the Michigan Running Foundation. Results will be posted after the race and on the web at Playmakers.com.

This race is endorsed by The Governor’s Council on Physical Fitness and part of the 2019 Michigan Fitness Foundation Challenge. The challenge encourages Michiganders to engage with events that promote physical activity, health and wellness. You will receive a FIT point for every endorsed event you participate in or volunteer for from January 1, 2019 until December 31st, 2019. Points earn cool swag and a chance to win a Grand Prize!
