Join Together We Stand NC and Stronger and Faster Durham in commemorating the death of Ahmaud Arbery, a Black man who was murdered while out on a run in Brunswick, GA on February 23rd, 2019. This strength workout will be held to honor his memory and encourage our participants and greater community to speak about the senseless violence against Black communities in America.
On February 22, 2022, Together We Stand and Stronger and Faster Durham will host Maud 2.23 Strength to shine a spotlight on racism and injustice and to unite toward hope in the future. Maud 2.23 Strength is a strength training component to the Maud 2.23 Run/walk.
The 2022 Maud 2.23 Strength is presented by HOKA, CEP Compression, and LockLaces.
Registration is $25 and includes a Maud 2.23 LS shirt. All registrants also receive a chance to win prizes including free gear from HOKA, CEP Compression, Stronger and Faster Durham, and LockLaces.
Together We Stand NC and Stronger and Faster Durham has decided to funnel the donations from Maud 2.23 Strength and t-shirt sales to the Eastern North Carolina Chapter of Alzheimer’s Association in the name of Donald Dixon. $8 of every registration will be donated to the charity in Mr. Dixon’s name. We will post the Maud 2.23 Strength workout on Sunday February 20, 2022. The workout will be three levels: advanced, intermediate, and beginner so anyone can participate
