Why I Am participating in the Sole Burner event for the American Cancer Society:
On September 2, 2013, Chris Dantoin (my nephew's namesake) lost his battle with cancer, and the world lost one of the most unique, awesome, and inspiring people you could ever hope to meet. While Chris was a unique person, his battle with cancer is unfortunately not unique.
This year, hundreds of thousands of people will hear the words "You have cancer," and there's a good chance that some of them will be people we know and love.
As I do every year, on May 9th, I am walking in the 2026 American Cancer Society Sole Burner 5K walk/run. As part of the Sole Burner, I am raising money for the American Cancer Society and was wondering if you might be interested in helping me out with a pledge (to do so click the "Donate" button in the upper right)? My goal is to raise $1,000.
