When: Feb 1st to Apr 30th, 2018. This is the window in which you must complete your 50k.
What: Run/hike/walk 50K in a single effort.
Why: This is the first fundraising project under the MURCA Semper Fi Project, the group’s 2018 fundraising endeavor to help the Semper Fi Fund. The Semper Fi Fund provides immediate financial assistance and lifetime support to post-9/11 combat wounded, critically ill and catastrophically injured members of all branches of the U.S. Armed Forces and their families. The Semper Fi Fund delivers the resources they need during recovery and transition back to their communities, working to ensure no one is left behind.
Who: Open to all MURCA members, their friends, and their families.
How: The charitable donation is the second part of your race entry. The minimum donation to enter the MURCA Semper Fi 50K is $25 (bronze). A $50 (silver) gets you a free MURCA sticker and entry into a prize drawing. A $100 (gold) donation gets you a free MURCA sticker and two entries into the prize drawing. Prizes include (2) $50 Rabbit gift certificates, (2) Running Warehouse shirts, (1) $25 gift certificate to Running Warehouse, and (2) one-of-a-kind, custom, artisan-made running keepsakes (more prizes to be announced on the MURCA page).
