Barefoot University’s (BU’s) mission is to connect homeschool families to nature and each other. BU encourages child-led experiences, play, and hands-on, outdoor learning to connect kids aged 5-18 with nature following forest school principles. BU promotes outdoor exploration, risk play, and nature-based skills through weekly meetups with activities reflective of yearly learning rhythms and also seeks to instill the importance of serving through community service projects.
