Hello everyone, I am running a 5k to raise money for USHthis Camp, and I'd love your support!
I was diagnosed with Usher Syndrome Type 1B at 10 years old, which means I am profoundly deaf and have progressive eyesight loss.
Three years ago I began going to USHthis Camp each summer and that experience changed my life forever.
For years I felt like my disabilities would define me, but this camp has given me a community to feel seen and known.
I now have a group of friends and mentors, who truly know what it's like to struggle in the same ways I do.
We share lots of fun and laughs, but also meaningful conversations to encourage each other along this journey.
The mentors and staff plan all year to give us the best week of our year!
With your help, we can make this dream a reality for many more kids like me with Usher Syndrome.
USHthis Camp is not just a fun experience, it's a lifeline!
As I try to reach my goal of running a 5k, please consider supporting me!
