This year, I'm lacing up my shoes and hitting the “pavement” for a second time in just a few short weeks, not just for the finish line—but for the countless animals who are still waiting for their second chance. I’m racing to raise funds for GCAC, my place of work, who is an incredible organization that gives love, shelter, and hope to abandoned, abused, lost, and animals who just need a new home.
Every step I take is for a wagging tail, a soft purr, a life saved. But I can’t do it alone. Together, we can make sure these animals get the care they deserve and the homes they dream of.
