Cristina Nistler, MS, ATC
An experienced runner and coach, Cristina has her master's in athletic training, is a certified athletic trainer and has worked with athletes of all levels from recreational runners to elite NCAA programs at Northwestern & Georgetown. Cristina provides a wealth of knowledge and experience in marathon training, injury prevention, strength training, and so much more. As well as being our head coach, Cristina is the Essentia Health Medical Liaison to Grandma's Marathon. She has run 8 marathons and is a two-time Grandma's Marathon finisher.

Eric Borer
A certified running coach and Duluth Running Company's Executive Events Director, Eric has been coaching athletes for over 20 years in individual and team sports. In the last few years, he has coached runners in some of the most difficult races in the country. Eric has run Grandma's Marathon two times and has run over 10 ultramarathons.
