The Haven endeavors to make homelessness rare, brief, and nonrecurring in the greater Charlottesville community.

Motivated by radical hospitality, The Haven provides a safe and welcoming space for people experiencing homelessness and poverty, supporting individuals and families as they pursue stability through connections to resources and housing interventions. We open the doors wide for any and everyone, no matter their circumstances. 

Consider what your support can help us provide! 

• $50 helps your neighbor pay the fee for a rental housing application
• $150 pays for a hot and nutritious breakfast meal one morning, serving upwards of 100 people
• $300 heats the Day Shelter for a week, ensuring our unsheltered neighbors have a safe, warm place to be on these cold biting days
• $500 pays for a month's worth of showers (on average 500 showers every month!), which includes hygiene supplies, hot water, and the human right to feel comfortable and clean
