Join us on Saturday, March 14th, 2026 (8:00am start) for the 16th year of The Haven's Run for Home 8K RUN / 4K WALK!
Both the 8K run and 4K walk events start on the Downtown Mall, wind through downtown Charlottesville, end with your final steps along the mall, and crossing the finish line at the Ting Pavilion. Afterwards, all participants are encouraged to enjoy our legendary post-race breakfast at The Haven!🍳🥯☕
Virtual 8K run and 4K walk options are available where you can run your race remotely anytime on March 14th or 15th, allowing you to run and walk in your own space. While virtual participants are not eligible for prizes, we are so glad you are opting to participate and support our community!
At packet pick-up, you’ll receive all of your race materials, including bib and this year's "swag" item: a Haven beanie! Virtual participants do not need to pick up a race packet, but please feel free to come by to pick up your Haven hat!

ABOUT THE HAVEN
All race proceeds benefit THE HAVEN in downtown Charlottesville. The Haven is a safe and welcoming day shelter and housing resource center for people currently experiencing or at risk of homelessness. Serving over 85 people daily, The Haven provides respite for the weary and transformation for the ready.

This year, we're trying something new! As part of registration, every participant will automatically have their own Fundraiser Page and there are 3 ways you can make an impact:
- Make a donation! Your donation helps us provide hot meals, showers, laundry, warmth, and personal connection to more than 500 of our neighbors every day of the year. View your donation on your fundraising page!
- Be a fundraising champion! Fundraise individually by sharing your personal fundraiser page with friends, family, coworkers, book clubs, fitness groups, and more to make an even bigger impact for our community.
- Fundraise as a team! Who says running isn't a team sport! Create or join a fundraising team to truly be a partner in our work to support our neighbors as they survive their time of crisis and pursue housing stability.
The TOP THREE FUNDRAISERS (top 3 teams & top 3 individuals) will be recognized at our award ceremony!
We would be thrilled if you decide to join us in fundraising but it is not a requirement. This is an optional initiative to support The Haven and our work to address homelessness in our community. We are simply glad if you choose to join us on race day!

Donate NowRACE PACKET PICK UP
Packet pick-up details will be provided here and shared with registrants closer to race day. All participants, whether virtual or in-person, are eligible to receive a special "Haven" beanie, available at packet pick-up!
RACE DAY INFORMATION
(1) Race materials will be available at packet pick-up. All in-person participants are highly encouraged to pick your packets up before the day of the race.
(2) Parking - On race day, we suggest that you park at the Market Street or Water Street garages.
(3) Bathrooms will be available on race day at the Pavilion at the east end of the mall or at The Haven (112 W Market St).
(4) Bib number - We ask that you please wear your race number VISIBLE somewhere on your FRONT, so the mat can read your chip.
C-VILLE-ATHON
The Haven 8K Run is one of the events in the C-VILLE-athon series and is traditionally thought of as a warm up race for the Charlottesville 10 Miler. Register for the Charlottesville 10 Miler at www.cvilletenmiler.com. For the 2026 C-VILLE-athon series, sign up online at www.runsignup.com/cvilleathon and complete at least 26.2 miles in select non-profit races, including The Haven's Run for Home, to receive an official C-VILLE-athon technical running shirt if you submit your checklist.
