We R.U.N. Together Scavenger Race

This is a free event that involves teams of up to six(maybe more, maybe less depending on signup) individuals working together in groups. This event will involve running/walking on foot throughout the central business district. There will be staggered start times and each team will be given a team name, randomly grouped together, and assigned a start time before the day of the race. Each team will compete against other similar sized teams. Teams are to find all of the missing words from each "phrase" on each marker found on the Civil Rights Trail in downtown Birmingham.  Sheets will be given to each team. On each sheet, there will be a set of locations(random) of the markers and the phrases that are found on the markers. They will be in no particular order and each team will have to go to each location, fill in the phrase and draw a line from the correct phrase to the correct location. Each team's staggered start time will be recorded and time taken to finish will be recorded as well. The lowest time plus all of the correct answers will determine the winners and winners will be announced at a later date and e-mailed. The goal of the race is to meet new friends while trying to win the race, getting to know a little bit about each of the members. all the while learning about Birmingham's rich civil rights history at the same time.
