THE CHALLENGE

The Course

Alpha Warrior Proving Grounds is a state-of-the-art obstacle course specifically designed to test every aspect of ability, the strength of every muscle group, mental fortitude and your body’s ability to keep going. Each team will power through military-style obstacles, covering almost 1,000 yards made up of 125 tons of steel.

Schedule

FEMALE DIVISION: 8AM-10:45AM (AWARDS CEREMONY @ 11AM)

MALE DIVISION: 9AM-12:15PM (AWARDS CEREMONY @ 12:30PM)

CO-ED DIVISION: 10:30AM-1:55PM (AWARDS CEREMONY @ 2PM)

Scoring

The overall Alpha Warrior Team Tough Challenge champion in each division will be the team with the lowest total combined time. The time is calculated from your actual obstacle course finish time MINUS the results from the Battleground Challenges.

Battleground Fitness Challenges

After teams complete the challenging obstacle course, their toughness will be pushed to the limit as they compete in 4 fitness challenges to lower their overall time.

Alpha Warrior Alcatraz Obstacle

Teams will work together to tackle tight spaces, heights, swinging monkey bars and a cargo net descent.  Like the other Battleground events, Alcatraz will give your team bonus time. You will have 10 minutes to see how many teammates can make it to the finish. Each team member finishing within the 10 minute time limit = (-1 min).

Pull-Up Challenge

How many pull-ups can your team do? Each team member will have the opportunity to test themselves and see how many pull-ups they can complete in 5 minutes. Each student will be given one opportunity to complete their reps. Teams total number of reps will be added together to subtract from their overall time.

Each team's score will be based off their standings among other division teams that are then ranked by the total number of pull-ups they complete in the 5 minutes.

1st place = (-5 min)    2nd place = (-4 min)    3rd place = (-3 min)    4th place = (-2 min)    5th place & lower = (-1 min)

360 Mountain Climb Challenge

Teams will have 10 minutes to complete as many mountain climbs as possible. One student at a time will complete the 30 ft. steep mountain climb then quickly go down the stairs tagging their next teammate to do the same. Teams score will be based off the total number of complete climbs they complete in 10 minutes. Teams who do not properly complete a climb with correct form will not have that climb count towards their team’s total.

Each team's score will be based off their standings among other division teams that are ranked by the total number of complete climbs they complete in 10 minutes.

1st place = (-5 min)    2nd place = (-4 min)    3rd place = (-3 min)    4th place = (-2 min)    5th place & lower = (-1 min)

Push-Up Challenge

At this last challenge, each team member will push themselves to the limit and see how many push-ups they can complete in 10 minutes. Students will complete their reps one at a time and the next student will be ready to start immediately after the prior student finishes his or her maximum push-ups. Teams total number of push-ups will be added together to subtract from their overall time.

Each team's score will be based off their standings among other division teams and then ranked by the total number of push-ups they complete in 5 minutes.

1st place = (-5 min)    2nd place = (-4 min)    3rd place = (-3 min)    4th place = (-2 min)    5th place & lower = (-1 min)
