In addition to getting the once-in-a-lifetime chance to take in the beauty of the Chesapeake Bay as you cross the bridge on foot, participants will also earn some amazing SWAG (Stuff We All Get) to help you relive the memories you create on race day.
THE MEDAL
The 2026 medal is the first piece of a new five piece puzzle. This year's version features a Chesapeake Bay Retriever. The full color, 3- dimensional image makes the artwork truly pop and may become the pride of your collection. You will be able to proudly wear this medal after you complete your 6.2 miles over the Chesapeake Bay Bridge.
Remember, you have to participate all five years to complete the full puzzle. While each medal will look great as its stand alone version, you will be able to piece them all together over a 5-year span to make a huge linked display that will WOW all of your BLING crazy-friends. MEDAL HISTORY
Each medal features an iconic figure that represents the Chesapeake Bay and all of its beauty:
A Chesapeake Bay Retriever, the Sandy Point Shoal Lighthouse, a Great Blue Herron, a Canvasback Duck, and of course the Chesapeake Bay Bridge itself! Each medal, as well as the ribbon feature a color of the Maryland flag.
At the end of our 5-year journey, you will be able to piece each of the medals together to create a HUGE medal collage.
MEDAL DISPLAY CASE
A collector's dream! If you plan to participate each & every year -- either live or virtually -- this is a MUST purchase. Display your medal puzzle in all its glory with this custom case. Once complete the medals will stand together as one giant medal. Case measures 8.5" wide by 8.5" tall. It is 3/4" thick. It has a slotted back to allow you to hang it on a wall if desired.

THE RACE SHIRT
Each year, Maryland's own Under Armour proudly creates a special shirt for the year. In 2026, all Bay Bridge Run participants will receive a short sleeve performance tee, designed for comfort and style whether you're crossing the bridge or training on your turf.
