In-Person Friends Of The Poor® 5K CHARITY WALK/RUN in Carpinteria, October 18

Choose a Virtual 5K Charity Walk/Run, or join our easy, non-timed, Friends of the Poor 5K Charity Walk/Run on flat, level, wheel chair and stroller friendly terrain from St Joseph Field, through the charming beach town of Carpinteria, to Carpinteria State Beach and return to St. Joseph Field for family-friendly, after-event activities and games. Special pricing for Youths and Teams.

Register on-line until 11:59 pm, October 17.  Check-in, late registrations, and event day registrations begin October 18 at 08:00 am.  The Friends of the Poor 5K Charity Walk/Run begins at 09:00.

Registration Fee will be refunded when the Walker reaches their $150 Donation Goal.  The Registration Fee does not count toward the Donation Goal.

SEPTEMBER 22 IS THE LAST DAY TO REGISTER AND GET A T-SHIRT. REGISTERED WALKERS AFTER SEPTEMBER ARE NOT GUARANTEED A T-SHIRT.

Walk/Run at your own pace anywhere with the

VIRTUAL 5K CHARITY WALK/RUN 

1. HAVE FUN!
2. Sign up and register on-line for the VIRTUAL 5K CHARITY WALK/RUN.  
3. Set a fundraising goal and complete your WALK/RUN before October 17 at 11:59 pm.
4. Share your Virtual Walk and fundraising goal with friends, relatives, fellow workers, and social media friends.  Encourage your friends to walk on your "TEAM".
5. Choose your walk path; at home, at work, in the mall, at the beach, or on the trail
6. Document your walk.  Log your walk using a pedometer app on your phone  Take a screen shot of the completed distance and selfies of yourself walking and post them on social media.
7. Send your screenshot and selfies to fop5kcharitywalkrun@gmail.com.
