Steps to End Housing Insecurity: DMV Does Good 5K Fundraiser

We are thrilled to share that DMV Does Good will be hosting our first-ever 5K fundraiser, “Steps to End Housing Insecurity,” on October 25, 2025, at East Potomac Park in Washington, DC. This fun, family-friendly event aims to bring together the community to raise funds to support DMV Does Good’s mission to help end poverty and housing insecurity in DC, Maryland, and Virginia. 

Since DMV Does Good’s founding in 2020, our organization has been on the ground working in some of the most impoverished and underserved communities in the DMV to deliver essential resources to individuals struggling with poverty and housing insecurity. DMV Does Good has touched the lives of nearly 3,000 individuals to date. To address the growing needs of the communities we serve, DMV Does Good aims to expand our operations. Through our 5K fundraiser, we can enhance our organization’s ability to make a lasting, positive impact on the lives of community members in need. 

After the race, we invite you to volunteer packing our critical care kits. These kits are filled with toiletries and other essentials that we distribute to individuals in need. DMV Does Good will provide the items for the kits. Packing will take place at East Potomac Park.
