Sat August 23, 2025 Belmont, NY 14813 US Directions

IMPACT— a 501(c)(3) nonprofit charitable organization— mobilizes volunteers to improve public forest trails in Allegany County for the year-round use and enjoyment of hikers, horseback riders, skiers, campers.

The mission of IMPACT is to conserve, improve and advocate for year-round access to public trails and greenways in Allegany County. We provide a voice for all Allegany County trails users, landowners, and businesses who benefit from the development and maintenance of high-quality, year-round, multi-use trails.

We work closely with local Foresters in the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC), under a Volunteer Stewardship Agreement.

Our current focus is the West Almond Trail System, 29 miles of paths through Phillips Creek, Palmers Pond, Turnpike, and Karr Valley Creek State Forests. We are developing new projects in Coyle Hill State Forest and along the Wellsville, Addison and Galeton (WAG)Trail.
