The Thankful Ones is a local 501(c)(3) charitable organization run entirely by volunteers. Our growth has been closely tied to the Pecan Grove Turkey Trot and community engagement with other non-profits. This growth has resulted in a significant increase in requests for child adoption support. The more funds we raise, the more children and families we can assist!
By donating to The Thankful Ones, you directly support local foster children and adoptive families in the Greater Fort Bend County and Houston areas. Funds raised are used for TTO's Adoptive Family Grant Award Program. These grants are awarded to families navigating the child adoption process, helping them cover attorney fees, state-mandated fees, court costs, and other expensive adoption-related expenses. Payments are made directly from TTO to the invoicing entity, typically the family's adoption attorney.
A huge thank you to our Trotters, Donors, and Sponsors! Since 2022, TTO's has awarded over $200,000 in adoption assistance grants to 50 adoptive families and foster children. Your continued support makes a real difference in creating forever families.
