The Van Alstyne Police Association, a 501(c)(3), is dedicated to supporting the Van Alstyne Police Department by providing resources and fostering stronger connections between officers and the community. Their mission is to create an environment where the humanity behind the badge is recognized and celebrated, promoting mutual respect and collaboration. Through initiatives such as the Adopt-a-Cop program, Coffee with Cops, K9 Bravo, and the Police Gala, they raise funds for essential projects, supplies, and equipment that help officers better serve and protect our community.
The VAPA is currently raising funds for Heroes Park: an inclusive playground where kids of all ages and abilities can play and grow together!
