Teams make all the difference at the Good Grief Run & Walk! By creating a team, you become a Team Captain—someone who invites others to join, shares why this cause matters, and motivates friends, family, and colleagues to raise funds together. Team Captains play a vital role in growing participation and expanding our collective impact. Presented by Ridgeline Real Estate, this year’s event supports peer support for pregnancy and infant loss.

The person who creates the team is automatically designated as the Team Captain. If you’d like to transfer that role to another team member, simply notify the race director.

Once you’re signed up, here are a few meaningful ways to fundraise and build your team:

• Share your personal fundraising page via email or social media and let people know you’re participating in the 4th Annual Good Grief Run & Walk.

• Personalize your fundraising page with a story. This may be your own experience of pregnancy or infant loss, or it may be in honor or memory of someone in your life you are remembering. Both are deeply meaningful ways to participate.

• Invite friends, family, coworkers, or neighbors to register and join your team. With our Virtual Participation Option, team members can take part from anywhere in the world.

• Host a simple fundraiser—bake sale, BBQ, garage sale, lemonade stand, or school fundraiser—and donate the proceeds.

• Check whether your employer offers a matching gift program to double your impact.

• And most importantly: ask. The people in your life want to support you and the causes you care about.
