CEDAR ISLAND 5K SWIM
AYC is located the Intercostal Waterway just south of Townsend Inlet. This venue provides a beautiful backdrop for a fun, challenging, and rewarding swim around Cedar Island. Our goal is to raise awareness and provided support to our troops and honor our military members. Awards to the top 5 male and female finishers, masters, grand masters. NO AGE GROUP AWARDS.
There is a 90 minute time cut off to complete the swim. Swimmers will be pulled from the water for their safety if they have not returned to the finish area at the Avalon Yacht Club. You must be properly trained for this long swim distance! It is a typically fast course due to an asset from the current on the first and final legs of the swim.
