Description
The Annual 5K Family Fun Day will take place on Saturday, October 18th, 2025, at Zoo Miami's special event area. There's something for everyone at this year's Family Fun Day!
No tricks, all treats, and a touch of spooky and sweet at the 9th Annual Monster Mash 5k Dash and Family Fun Day. Join us for a day of not so scary fun, and fitness. Lace up your sneakers and bring your family along to enjoy. We invite you and your family to dress up in your most festive costume! Employees can come dressed up for the season at the 5k, please ensure that you follow the Zoo’s rules on restricted items.
This event is open to all ages and fitness levels; please see the anticipated timeline below:
- 7:00 am: Experienced runners start
- 7:30 am: General race opens
- 9:00 am: Race Start closes
- 10:00 am: Awards Ceremony for Age Group winners
At the completion of the run/walk, employees and their families will be able to join our community partners and groups with giveaways, prizes, and lots of valuable information. Shopping Area with treats and groovy seasonal merchandise to celebrate the fall holiday season

- Entertainment from Creative Entertainment Group
- Food and refreshments featuring food trucks and other partners
- Kid Zone with Rock Climbing walls, Bounce Houses, and fun for the whole family

Note: This will be an in-person event and all participants in attendance are recommended follow all applicable County and State guidelines.

Making Strides Against Breast Cancer (MSABC) Walk
Every October, Miami-Dade County comes together to raise awareness around breast cancer. Since 2007, the County, in partnership with the American Cancer Society, has raised over $2.5 million for breast cancer research. On Saturday, Oct. 26, County residents will gather at Loan Depot Park for the annual Making Strides Against Breast Cancer (MSABC) Walk. Check-in begins at 7 a.m. and the walk starts at 9 a.m. The walk raises awareness and funds for this important cause. To register and learn more: Register Here
