ORL 5K on the Runway at Orlando Executive Airport (formerly Orlando Run For The Angels 5K)

The ORL 5K ON THE RUNWAY (formally known as 5k Run for the Angels) is a unique community event that brings runners and aviation supporters together for an unforgettable race on an airport runway—all while supporting meaningful aviation-related causes.

Proceeds from the event benefit Angel Flight Southeast, Vision of Flight, and The Orlando Youth Aviation Center, three organizations making a powerful impact through aviation.

Angel Flight Southeast provides free, life-saving flights for children and adults who must travel long distances for critical medical care. Supported by volunteer pilots who donate their time, aircraft, and resources, the organization helps ease the financial and emotional burden on families during times of greatest need. Vision of Flight inspires youth ages 10–18 to pursue futures in aviation and STEM through firsthand flying experiences, simulator training, summer camps, and mentorship. The Orlando Youth Aviation Center engages Central Florida youth ages 12–17 in aviation education through hands-on classes covering the fundamentals of flight, airports, navigation, and aviation careers. Offered in three sessions each year—Fall, Winter, and Spring—each program culminates with a flight experience that sparks curiosity and inspires future aviators. Donations directly support educational materials, training aids, and flight experiences, helping ensure continued access to aviation education and hands-on learning for local students. Pre-Race Packet Pickup

Pre-Race Packet Pickup will be held on Friday, April 3rd at the Orlando Executive Airport, from 3:00pm until 6:00pm. Packet Pickup will also be held on RACE DAY, beginning at 6:00 AM. Packet pickup and race day location: The Orlando Executive Airport, 365 Rickenbacker Drive, Orlando, FL 32803.

Medals– The top three (3) male and female age groups.

THERE ARE NO FINISHERS MEDALS FOR THIS RACE - WE PREFER TO PUT THAT MONEY INTO THE CHARITIES!

Only pre-registered participants who complete the registration by March 6, 2026, are guaranteed a complimentary race shirt.

Complimentary parking is available at Orlando Executive Airport, 365 Rickenbacker Drive, Orlando, FL 32803. Parking staff will direct traffic to overflow parking if needed.
