Harpoon 5-Miler Celebrates 25 Years of ALS Support and New Presenting Sponsor – Needham Bank

25th Annual Harpoon 5-Miler Powered by Needham Bank: New England’s Favorite 5-Mile Road race returns for an historic May celebration at the Harpoon Brewery in Boston’s Seaport with a new presenting sponsor and new race day

BOSTON, MA, January 5, 2026 - The Harpoon Brewery is pleased to announce the highly anticipated 25th Annual Harpoon 5-Miler, now taking place on Saturday, May 16, 2026, in Boston’s Seaport and South Boston neighborhoods.  The popular road race now has a new presenting sponsor in Needham Bank.

Harpoon 5-Miler has inspired a generation of Bostonians by building and sustaining a community around supporting ALS research.  To date, the Harpoon 5 Miler has raised over $3.1 million for the Angel Fund and its newest beneficiary, the Pete Frates Foundation.  Needham Bank’s dedication to community values by focusing on local investments reflects a shared commitment to wellness and innovation. 

Also representing a new chapter for the Harpoon 5-Miler, this year’s race will be moved to Saturday, May 16, allowing runners and supporters to enjoy a longer weekend in the Seaport.
