Light the Darkness 5K

January is Human Trafficking Awareness Month! 

Join us for the 3rd Annual Light the Darkness 5K working to put an END to Human Trafficking one step at a time!  Our mission is to raise awareness, provide education and funds to benefit the prevention, identification, rehabilitation and support of survivors of those who have been sexually exploited.  

This is an evening out and back BEACH race that will start on the beach in front of LORI WILSON PARK!  This is our official launch of our Get Outdoors for Freedom Spring & Summer Series.  If you love the outdoors and want to contribute to the solution in ending human trafficking, you can walk, run, hike or golf....All for the Freedom of others! 

NEW!! There will be a race village with vendors and a food truck starting at 3:45 pm!

1/24 - SATURDAY @ Lori Wilson Park 1500 N. Atlantic Ave. (I Dream of Jeannie Ln. South Entrance),      Cocoa Beach, Fl  32931
                                  3:45 PM - Race Day Registration & Packet Pickup Opens
                                  5:15 PM - Race Day Registration & Packet Pickup Closes

                                  5:25 PM - National Anthem

                                  5:30 PM - 5K Start!
                                  7:00 PM -Music, Beverages, Vendors, Raffle Giveaways and Prizes !

Head Lamps, Neon & lighted apparel and accessories are necessary! 

We are upping are game on our Light Award, we will have more than 1!
        ***  PRIZEs for runners with the best Glow Lights!  ***                         

AWARDS

Awards will be given to: 1st, 2nd, 3rd overall male and female, master male and female. No age group awards will be given.

Prizes and awards for best lighted participants! So Come Festive!!

Fees

$30 - Register Before midnight on 1/2

$35 - Register after midnight on 1/3-1/16

$40 - Register after midnight on 1/16 - Race Day

Finisher medals to all participants.

One FREE raffle ticket. Dozens of fabulous and festive raffle prizes. BEST LIGHT AWARDs, so dress festive!

One FREE drink ticket and additional post race refreshments available.  

Unisex short-sleeve shirt.  EARLY REGISTRANTS have option for a limited time to order a tank top option!  

Finisher patch available for add on.

Vendors

We are adding vendors this year with our new location!  Each vendor will receive a 10x10 spot in our Race Village.  Vendors are required to have their own lighting (solar lights are not bright enough), tent and generator if power is needed.
