Children shouldn't have to wait days for a meal, yet in Haiti many do.
Our 6th annual virtual 5K supports orphaned and vulnerable children living on the island of La Gonave in Haiti. 100% of every dollar raised will go towards feeding programs and is completely tax deductible. This little island is known as "the forgotten Haiti" and according to the IPC report on food insecurity, will reach famine level conditions in June, 2024. That's why the 6th annual 5k has a goal of $50,000 to provide almost 5,000 meals per month.
This year our race is committed to ensuring every child in our community receives a meal every day, not just when they are in school. For the cost of 1 entry you will provide a child one meal every day for an entire month. This race can be completed your own way as long as it's between June 7 and June 14. Your 5K can be done running, walking, cycling, paddle boarding, kayaking, swimming, or any other way you want to MOVE AGAINST HUNGER.
