Changes to the Event

We created the HOT SUMMER SINGLETRACK as a fundraiser to support the efforts of the Summit City Singletrack team. We’re not able to host the event in its current format. The registration numbers just haven’t lined up. We made the tough decision to cancel the event.

However, race fees have been paid to the City so we’re going to ride a MTB race anyway. It’s just going to be a little different. 


You’ll be able to find the new race on BikeSignup.

Description

Mountain bike riders will take on the technical dirt trails of Franke Park during the heat of the summer in the Hot Summer Singletrack.
Solo riders can take on the eight hour challenge or settle for a more reasonable four hour ride on a 10-mile loop of the technical dirt trails of Franke Park. 

Or you can assemble your crew of up to four riders and tackle the eight hour challenge as a team. 
The race begins at 8AM.

TENT CITY NEAR THE PAVILION FOR RACE TEAMS. BRING YOUR EZ UP ON RACE DAY AND SET UP BASE CAMP FOR YOU AND YOUR CREW

THE GRILL OPENS AT 11AM FOR RACE PARTICIPANTS AND CREW. SNACKS AND PICNIC-STYLE FOOD ARE INCLUDED WITH REGISTRATION FEE

Saturday, July 26th

  • 7:00AM-7:45AM-Packet pickup
  • 7:45AM-Race instructions and information.
  • 8:00AM–4:00PM-Race Time 
  • 12:15PM-12:30PM-Four hour race awards
  • 4:00PM-4:30PM- 8 Hour ace awards 
 
Funds raised will be donated to Summit City Singletrack. SCS is responsible for the trail maintenance and trail projects in the Franke Park trail network.
