Description
Join us for a lighthearted Halloween-themed 5K and 1 Mile run/walk that mixes costumes, candy, and a little movement for all ages, where the path is sprinkled with trick-or-treat stops along the way.
Our event is dedicated to bringing people of all ages and backgrounds together to celebrate health, wellness, and community spirit with a Halloween twist. By offering this fun, family friendly event at no cost, we strive to make fitness and connection accessible to everyone, regardless of financial means. This event is supported by the generous donations of the many members of Wilmington Road Runners Club, and various other organizations and members of our community to help us create an inclusive, uplifting experience where neighbors can run, walk, and cheer side by side while building a stronger, healthier community one step at a time.
Following the race events, there will be an award ceremony for the 5K finishers and a costume contest for anyone who would like to participate.
Strollers are allowed on the course, but please keep them as close as possible to the left edge of the path to avoid accidents with other participants.
Pets and/or animals of any kind whether leashed or unleashed are NOT allowed at the event at any time for the safety of everyone involved.

Course Maps
Both the Skeleton Shuffle 5K and Zombie Mile Zoom will began and end at the center pavilion of the Hanover Pines Park. The courses will follow along the left side of the path throughout the park to avoid collisions with return traffic on the right side of those paths. Arrow markers and volunteers will be spread out on the course to help direct traffic during the event.
Parking and Directions
Hanover Pines Park is located south of Monkey Junction about 1 mile down from the Harris Teeter on the opposite side of the road. The park can be accessed by 2 parking lots. One of them is located directly off of Carolina Beach Rd via a right turn if heading north or via a U turn prior to making a right turn if heading south. The other lot requires turning on Manassas Dr from Carolina Beach Rd, taking a right on Shiloh Dr, and then another right on Antietam Dr. The parking lot will be visible at the end of that road to right.
