Do you have what it takes to complete the highest and hardest 5K in New Jersey?
Run/walk to the top of New Jersey, High Point Monument, at 1,803 feet above sea level and return down along Lake Marcia to your starting point, which is also the finish line. Enjoy the NEW date, 10/6/2018, featuring the best fall foliage and scenery New Jersey has to offer.
On this course you will enjoy a spectacular panorama of rich farmland and forest, soft hills and lush valleys overlooking three states: New Jersey, New York & Pennsylvania. The course completely closed to thru traffic, so don't worry about cars!
This is fun and unforgettable autumn challenge supporting two great organizations in Sussex County, Pass It Along and Norwescap. A free race shirt commemorating the first ever 5K to the top of New Jersey for all entries received by September 15!
Course Description:
5K road race all on pavement:
the 1st ¾ of a mile is relatively flat along Lake Marcia
at which point there is a steep ascent to the monument of approximately ½ mile
after a loop through the monument parking area you will descend the steep hill
the final mile is rolling hills to the finish line.

- "Kings of the Hill": Top 3 Overall Males
- "Queens of the Hill": Top 3 Overall Females
- Gender Specific Age Groups: 19 & Under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+
- Course Time Limit = 100 minutes * Runners must finish withing 45 minutes to be eligible for awards
Pre-register online for just $30 through October 4. After October 4 and on race day, price increases to $35

PLEASE NOTE THAT USING THE MAILING ADDRESS IN GPS WILL NOT WORK! Take Route 23 approximately 7 miles north of the town of Sussex, NJ or 4 miles south of Port Jervis, NY. Both the park office and the main entrance to the park on located on Route 23.
