Do I need to register in advance?
While advance online registration is recommended to ensure a quick and easy check-in, same-day registration is always welcome. Event day registration opens at 10:00 am at the 3rd base entrance, where our volunteers will assist you with completing a registration form and waiver, collecting day-of donations, and distributing t-shirts to participants who have raised $50 or more.

What games and activities will be available?
Family Fun activities will take place from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm throughout the concourse, which includes arts and crafts, carnival games, prizes, face painting, yoga, and more!

When does the Walk celebration ceremony begin?
The celebration ceremony will be broadcast from home plate at 11:00 am and will include a group warm-up led by our Wellness Coordinator, special guest speakers, and the National Anthem.

When and where does the 1-mile Walk start?
The 1-mile Walk will begin immediately following the opening ceremony at the balloon arch by 1st base. The walk route is fully accessible, and each lap around the concourse is 1/3 mile, so participants are encouraged to complete three laps to reach one mile.

Will refreshments be provided?
Yes! Water, fruit, granola bars, and other light refreshments will be available throughout the event.

Will lunch be provided? 
Yes! After completing the 1-mile Walk, participants are invited to enjoy an after-party lunch generously donated by Jersey Mike’s Subs. Specialty dietary options, including gluten-free, chopped, and pureed, will be available upon request at the third base refreshments area. Rita’s Water Ice, donated by Cedar Com, will also be available for a sweet treat.

Is parking available?
Yes, free and accessible parking will be available on-site at the stadium.

What happens if it rains?
The event is rain or shine, so please come prepared for the appropriate weather.

The Step Up for The Arc Walk is a special fundraiser for the residents, participants, and staff of The Arc of Ocean. Every dollar raised through the program's team fundraiser helps purchase essential wishlist items such as art supplies, patio furniture, and field trip tickets, ensuring continued high-quality services for the individuals we support.

As a token of appreciation for your support and an incentive to encourage fundraising efforts, all registered participants who fundraise or donate a total of $50 or more are eligible to receive this year's commemorative event t-shirt.
