The Combusion Brewery Anniversary Beer Mile will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2026 at the Combustion Brewery & Taproom. The Beer Mile will kickoff a day of celebration and fun in recognition of our 10th Anniversary. The Beer Mile will start and finish in the Combustion Brewery parking lot.

What's a beer mile?

Chug a beer. Run a quarter mile. Chug a beer. Run a quarter mile. Chug a beer. Run a quarter mile. Chug a beer. Run a quarter mile. And then celebrate with your friends as you wait for all four heats to finish. The Beer Mile results will be posted by heat and for the overall finishers.

Here's our rules. No exceptions.

1. You must be age 21 to participate in this event. You will be REQUIRED to have ID with you when you pick up your bib. No ID. No running.

2. All beer will be provided and poured by Combustion Brewery. No outside beer can be brought in. Beers will be in plastic cups and the actual beer being provided will be announced prior to the event.

3. You are REQUIRED to either have a DD (Designated Driver) for the event, or take an Uber (or Lyft or pedicab....) . YES! WE'LL ASK! You will not be able to participate if you do not have a plan, you will not be able to drive home if you participate in the event. An Uber will be called for you.

Individual and Relay Teams

There will be four individual heats and one heat for Relay Teams. Heat 5 will start at 12:00 noon, with a maximum of 6 teams (4 persons on each team). Just like the individual Beer Mile event, the race will start with drinking a beer then running a 1/4 Mile loop. After crossing the finish line, the runner will hand off the timing device to the next runner on his/her team. So, a total of 4 beers and 4 loops to complete the Beer Mile. There will be one timing device for each team.

For RELAY TEAMS, the Team Captain (one person on the Team) will register and pay for the team. When registering the Captain will set your team password and share it with the other team members, so that all 4 members can register and sign the waiver.

Awards

The 1st Place overall male and female finishers will receive a trophy and gift card. All finishers will receive a "woodel" after completing the event. The top male and female finishers in each Heat will be recognized at the post race awards ceremony.

Course Map

1/4 mile loop with the start and finish at Combustion Brewery. Drink one beer at the start and run a 1/4 mile, then do it 3 more times for a total of 1 mile.
