The YMCA of Central Kentucky is happy to announce the return and expansion of the FREE Family Fun Run series in 2024!
The Family Fun Run series is an informal run/walk for families to move together and challenge themselves. A perfect opportunity to train together for the Kids Tri at the Y or Midsummer Night's Run 5K.
Events take place at the C. M. Gatton Beaumont, the High Street, and the North Lexington YMCAs and is open to Y members and non-members. No registration required.
We will gather at 6pm for a quick warm-up and chat, then take off along the trails for a run or walk together.
At the C. M. Gatton Beaumont YMCA, participants can expect a marked 1 mile fun run on the trail behind the Y.
High Street YMCA participants will have the option to choose either a 1.5 or 3 mile route through downtown Lexington.
The North Lexington YMCA will have marked options for 1 mile, 2 miles, and a 5K fun run along the Legacy Trail. Even though these are the marked routes, you are free to run as little or as far as you feel comfortable.
