THE RACE

Kick off Memorial Day Weekend & Celebrate National Runners Month by joining us for the DICK’S House of Sport Memorial Miles 5K Run, a vibrant and exhilarating event proudly presented in partnership with Team RWB and the Rick Herrema Foundation.

Whether you're an avid runner or looking to enjoy a day outdoors, this timed 5K trail run offers an exciting challenge for participants of all ages and skill levels. For those seeking a shorter distance, we also offer a fun 1 Mile option.

The event will begin with a tribute for our fallen service  members, led by Team RWB and The Rick Herrema Foundation.

To enhance the experience, enjoy music, capture memories with on-site photography, and indulge in delicious offerings from our awesome supporters.

RACE SWAG

RACE SHIRT
Register by May 11, 2025 to guarantee a DICK'S House of Sport Memorial Miles 5K Run shirt in your size. You must attend the event to receive your shirt. If you register after May 11th, you can choose from remaining sizes.

CINCH BAG
All participants who attend Pre-Race Packet Pickup will receive a DICK'S House of Sport Cinch Bag.

FINISHER MEDAL
Every participant will receive a finisher medal, celebrating your achievement as you cross the finish line.

 

THE COURSE

The DICK'S House of Sport Memorial Miles 5K Run takes place at Rick's Place, a 50-acre interactive greenspace 5.5 miles from Ft. Bragg.  

The 5K course at Rick’s Place features three one-mile loops on a combination of cross-country trail and natural terrain. Runners will experience a true XC-style layout, including:

Maintained dirt and grass paths
Open grassy stretches
Wooded segments with shaded canopy
This looped format offers excellent visibility for spectators and streamlined logistics for timing, volunteers, and aid stations.
