Description

The Cowboy 5K Swamp Stomp ain't your city race!  Obstacles as big as 'yer barn and City Slicker Exits for those obstacles you don't want to wrangle.  The Cowboy 5K Swamp Stomp is a challenging, yet family friendly obstacle challenge race held during the Washington County Fair in Arlington, NE.

Participants will test themselves as they balance, climb, swing, and crawl through cowboy themed obstacles such as Hangman Hill, Yellow Belly Gutch, Desperado, and more.  New in 2017 - the Swamp Stomp...better not wear your Sunday best!

Due to the layout of the course on the Washington County Fairgrounds, participants will run thru the course twice-- twice the number of obstacles!

The Washington County Fair is located in Arlington, NE.  15 miles north of Omaha, 10 miles east of Fremont, and 45 miles east of Lincoln.  Plan to spend the entire day at the Fair!

This race is capped at 500 participants.  Discounts for groups of 4 (posse pass) and KIDS RUN FREE with a paid adult.  Registration is open thru race day; limited quantity of t-shirts will be available for registrations after July 22.

Are you a Legend?  Find out at the Cowboy 5K Swamp Stomp!

MORE INFO

Leave your horse at home!   You will be much more comfortable in your running shoes and running gear.

The Cowboy 5K Swamp Stomp is located on the Washington County Fairgrounds in Arlington, NE.  Parking opens at 7 am and is free.

Packet pick up will begin at 7:30 am and will be located on the east side of the fairgrounds near the baseball fields.  Look for the white Cowboy 5K banners.  Participants are asked to check in 15 minutes before their wave begins.

The course is mostly flat, however, we do use the hills on the fairground, as well as a wooded area and water areas.  You will be in knee deep water (with a muddy bottom) if you fail to navigate some of the obstacles the first time.  There will be mud.

Some of our obstacles have City Slicker Exits.  There is a height requirement for some of the larger obstacles.  If you don't meet the requirement or do not want to navigate the obstacle, there is a smaller version of the same obstacle to which you will be directed.  You may choose to skip the junior version of any obstacle as well.

Race day registration is allowed.  Bring your posse!  There will be a limited quantity of t-shirts available for those registering after July 17.  We will not accept credit cards for payment on race morning.
