Description

In the Month of March, we are honoring or memorializing our great Sisters by completing as many miles running and/or walking as possible.  This event is totally virtual and free.  Many of us have great Big Sister or a wonderful younger sister that have impacted our lives for good.  Let's uplift them by recording her name in the comments and sharing stories about how she has impacted your life as you record and log your miles. Don't forget to upload photos.

No, your sister does not have to be a biological Sister or a relative.  Many of us have or had women that have stepped in to protect us like the great women's soccer teams of the International Association Football Federation (FIFA).  At the 2020 Women's World Soccer Cup over 300 Women Soccer players walked on the field each holding the hand of a little girl.  It was a powerful scene.  And I just remember how I held my big sister's hand when crossing the street.

What is the Red Card Pledge?

The Red Card Pledge is our commitment to achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal #5 – Achieve Gender Equality and Empower All Women and Girls.
In soccer, a Red Card is shown to any player who has committed a serious infraction of the rules and permanently dismisses the player from the field.  The Red Card Pledge Campaign envisions any form of gender-based discrimination and violence as a serious infraction of the rules of society, deserving of a red card.
