Annually, there are approximately 67 million deaths around the globe. With each death leaving an average of 5 grieving people behind, the estimated total number of individuals coping with new losses and grief at any given year stands at an astonishing 335 million. Their professional caregivers play crucial supportive roles during life's most vulnerable moments.
Caring for Caregivers
End of life, death, and bereavement care workers are at the forefront in providing comfort and consolation to grieving individuals and families. However, many caregivers suffer in silence with overwhelming stress and debilitating burnout. They need our strongest support, for the quality of care they provide is only as good as their health and wellbeing.
ADEC Moving with Grief Challenge
This movement challenge fundraiser aspires to raise $30,000 for expanding the many public education, professional training, and outreach initiatives of the Association for Death Education and Counseling (ADEC), all of which aim at enhancing the clinical competency and emotional capacity of end of life, death, and bereavement care workers. Together, we can build a more compassionate global community to better support every individuals, families, and communities facing grief, loss, and mortality.
Individual or Team Registration & Fundraising Goal
Registration for the Moving with Grief Challenge is FREE! Individual participants are encouraged to raise at least $300 to support the important work of ADEC. You can also team up with your family, friends, and colleagues to form a Fundraising Team, and each team is encouraged to raise a minimum of $2,000. The Top 3 Individual and Team Fundraisers will be celebrated at the "Moving with Grief Award Ceremony" on National Grief Awareness Day, August 30, 2024.
