Eastside Turkey Trot 5K Run/Walk

RACE DAY REGISTRATION & PACKET PICKUP: OPENS at 7:30am - 5K RACE & WALK at 9am
LOCATION: Eastern Community YMCA, 2960 Pickle Road, Oregon, Ohio or Choose Virtual Option
COURSE: Start and finish at the YMCA on a fast 5K road course on city streets with a water station.
AWARDS & PRIZES - 5K RACE Open to all Ages:
- Overall Male/Female, Overall Master (40+) & Grand Masters male/female win Gift Certificates from Second Sole!
- Age group awards (at least 5 deep), 9 & under, 10-14, 15–19, 20–24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49,
50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80–84, 85 & older. The walk is non-competitive. - First Male and Female to reach the one-mile mark win Turkeys! (Must finish the race, the runner, not the turkey!)
- Costume Contest for: Best Overall Costume, Best Turkey Look Alike, and Race Director Choice.
SHIRTS, REFRESHMENTS AND OTHER INFO:
- All pre-registered participants by November 16th will receive a LONG SLEEVE TRIBLEND shirt and $10.00 shoe discount
coupon from Second Sole. Late registration/race day shirt availability will be very limited. - Fruit, Baked Goods, Sport Drink, and Award Ceremony
- Early packet pick-up and late registration at Second Sole on Tuesday, 11/25 and Wednesday, 11/26 during store hours.
- Race will be timed by disposable bib chips with online scoring. Faster results and more time for Turkey!
- Virtual Option available to still get shirt and support YMCA Scholarship Fun while maintaining a Thanksgiving Tradition.

- 5K Race/Walk Pre-registered – postmark or on-line by Sunday, November 16, 2025: $ 24.00
- Register in-person at Second Sole by Sunday, November 16 and receive a $2 discount off the above fees. (Please pay by cash or check when signing up in store.)

Early packet pick-up and late registration at Second Sole on Tuesday, 11/25 and Wednesday, 11/26 during store hours. 4130 Levis Commons Blvd. Perrysburg, OH 43551.
Raceday packet pickup will begin at 7:30 at the Eastern Community YMCA. Please budget extra time before the 9am start to get your timing bibs and race packets.
During our packet pickup times, others may collect packets for other friends or family. They may be requested to confirm information about the identity of the additional registrants.
A $5 charge will be incurred for any lost bibs for timing. Please coordinate directly with those you may be picking up for so that bibs are not duplicated for participants.
Race-Day registration will be available online and in person. However, t-shirts are not garunteed and typically are sold out before the day of the race. The 2025 t-shirt cutoff is Sunday, November 16, 2025. We will NOT prorate your registration if shirts are sold out.
There is limited parking at the Eastern Community YMCA. The lot will fill at a first come - first served basis. Additional parking will be at Cardinal Stritch HS with complimentary shuttles to and from the lot before and after the race.
Both parking locations have free parking and complimentary shuttles as applicable.
A common start finish will be located out front of the Eastern Community YMCA. Late packet pickup and registration will be located inside the YMCA, as well as restrooms.
The roads will not be completely closed off during our race. If you choose to run with headphones or earbuds, you are still responsible for obeying the course marshalls and saftey procautions of a large road race. The race production team and any associated parties are not responsible for any accidents caused by failure to follow safe road racing actions.
Dogs must be well mannered and kept on a leash at all times. Please clean up after you dogs. Failure to comply will cause a request of your exit without refund.
There is no limit to our finish, though most are able to finish within 1 1/4 hours. If you have concerns about your speed, feel free to contact us in advance and we will accomodate you.
One water station will be offered on the course.
Shirt deadlines are posted on all flyers and on our website. After the cutoff (2025 date is Sunday, November 16, 2025), shirts are at limited supply and are only available online. Once a size is sold out, they will not be re-filled. There are no medals, though there are deep age group awards!
