Friends of Dorchester County Parks is excited to announce the first ever Ashley River Adventure Race! This unique race will feature a 5K trail run through the future Ashley River Park where racers will get a glimpse of this 85 acre site while running through pond-side open meadows and wooded riverside trails. After the run, hop on your kayak or SUP at the Howard Bridgman River Access, located just outside the park, and paddle 8.5 miles with the outgoing tide down the Ashley Scenic River. The route finishes at the beautiful and historic Inn at Middleton Place where a post-race party featuring awards, entertainment, food and beverages awaits.

Packet pickup and the opportunity to test the course will also be available on Friday, from 11:00 AM - 6:00 PM.
