The 5k will have a time limit of 1:30 (about a 29 min/mile pace). The 10k will have a time limit of 2 hours (19:19 min/mile pace). The 2 hour time limit will be enforced to beat the earlier fall sunset. If a 10ker comes through the first lap (5k) after the 1 hour mark, they will be not be permitted to go out for the 2nd lap as a part of the race. They will be switched in the results file to the 5k.

In order to protect the park, we will not have a water station out on the course. A water station will be available at the Start/Finish. 10kers will come past the start/finish when completeing their first 5k lap. Participants may carry water with a vest/camelback/hand bottle. Please do not throw any trash (plastic water bottles, gel packets, etc.) out on the trails. Littering is rude and we were all taught better than that.

From the parking lot of Echo Hollow Nature Park, head towards the park and take an immediate right near the Echo Hollow bench (you'll know it when you see it!). There will be a shelter house and a big inflatable arch - you can't miss it!

Packet pickup will be on race day prior to the race start at 3:00 - 4:00 PM. Packet pickup will be set up near the start/finish line. Take an immediate right near the Echo Hollow bench (you'll know it when you see it!) towards the park's shelter house. 

We will not have a gear check. The parking lot is just steps away from the start/finish, plan to lock up any valuables while out on the course.

There wil a brand new shiny restroom building near the parking lot, which is very close to the start/finish line. Plan to use that before/after the race. There will not be bathrooms out on the trails. 10kers will come back around near the restrooms after their first lap, they may detour a bit off course to use the restrooms if needed and then hop back on course to complete their second lap.

All registration will be online. Registration will be open all the way up until the start of the race, so yes, you may register yourself from your phone on race day. 

Yes. The kids scavenger hunt will be for kids 10 and under. We do encourage parent to join their kids out on the scavenger hunt.

The kids scavenger hunt course is .6 miles long. The time limit on the kids course will be 30 minutes as the 5k/10k starts at that time. To finish in the 30 minutes, you would need to keep a turtles pace of 50 min/mile pace.The begining and ending portion of the kids course is shared with the 5k/10k, so if you are out on the course after 4:30 be aware that you may need to move to the side and lett runners pass. 

5k/10k registrations do include a shirt. Participants will also be given an option to skip the shirt and save $5. At some point we do need to order shirts (about 2 weeks out), we do order extra shirts to try and cover future registrations but sometimes those sell out. If should sell out before the race, you will have to choose the option to skip the shirt and save $5 off the registration fee.

The Kids Scavenger Hunt is priced low so that all can join in on the fun, but a shirt is not included. You will have the option to add a shirt to your registration for $12.
