Half Marathon
29 spots left. Registration ends May 9, 2025 at 11:59pm CDT
Description
Wildflower takes place over two days with a range of standard and unique race distances. This is a great trail single trail system in Texas hill country with small rocky sections and nice climbs. The scenery allows you to see the fire-struck forest from 2011 as well as the rebirth of the Lost Pines in the area. Trails are still being rebuilt from the fires to this day, 2025 will feature new trail sections, and special Mother's Day bonus medals for Mom's!

Course and Maps
Runners, YOU are responsible for knowing the order of loops for your race. All loops must be completed in the order as stated below. We mark all intersections clearly.
All races start/finish in the same location within Bastrop State Park, there is NO parking inside the park. Mayfest Park will have packet pickup and shuttles. We will have a Main Finish Line Aid Station for between laps and post-race (please show up to the start with everything you need to get going, bottles full). The 5k will NOT pass the on-course aid station. ALL RACES MANDATORY carry your own hydration!
All races stick to similar loops running clockwise from the start/finish area. All loops head North to climb to the park main overlook before crossing the road heading East. Watch for "do not enter" signs on trail intersections. Look for traffic when crossing roadways. Old Road is the shortest loop, Harmon Road is the medium loop which turns at the on-course aid station. The Big Loop continues over Harmon Road and for some races will include a new lake loop add-on. All races go through Fehr's Overlook building on every loop which is a short out-and-back. The Half Marathon is the only race that starts the opposite direction to complete the Fehr Overlook climb at the start before returning to the start and continuing the loop as normal, watch for two-way traffic during this section.
5k: Up to campground, to the scenic overlook, finishes with 1/2mi downhill road
10k: Harmon Road Loop
25K: Big Loop (no lake) and Sandstone Loop
50K: 2 x Big Lake Loop, Harmon Road Loop
7M: Harmon Road Loop
Half: Fehr Overlook, Big Loop (with lake)
Marathon: 2 x Big Loop (no lake) and Sandstone Loop
Place
